If you have a Samsung device, you can also try these steps that some users confirmed have helped resolve the issue:
- Ensure that the Google Messages app is currently your phone's default messaging app.
- Go to the Galaxy Store and download the official Samsung Messages app.
- Install the app and accept all interface defaults except RCS Chat.
- Choose Proceed without chat features and set the app as the default messaging app.
- Go to Settings > Apps, and select Google Messages.
- Select Storage, then clear cache and clear data.
- Go back to the previous screen, select Force Stop, then hit Disable.
- Return to the home screen.
- Select Pulse SMS, and set it as the default messaging app.
If the issue persists despite trying the above tips, feel free to access the side menu > Support > Email, and send a report with logs so we can look into it for you.
