Reset your password when logged in on your phone
- Go to the My Account section on the phone app.
- Tap the Refresh Account option.
This preference will allow you to change the email address and password combination.
Forgot your password and are unable to log in on your phone
Delete your account and recreate it with a new set of credentials. Pulse SMS will upload exactly what is on the phone app to the new account.
To delete and recreate the account:
- Enter your email address on this page.
- Check your inbox for an email coming from us.
- Open the link in the email to automatically delete the account.
- On the Android app, open the navigation drawer/side menu, then select Login.
- Choose the option to Sign Up.
- Create a new account.
Purchases are stored on your Google account and automatically restored to the new account you create. So for example, all the messages you see in the phone app will be uploaded to the new account.
What if I am sure my password is correct?
Pulse SMS accounts get auto-deleted after two months of inactivity, as per our privacy policy. It does you no good to keep an old Pulse SMS account since logging in to that account would simply download all of its messages to your device, deleting the current messages. If you are away from Pulse SMS and return to the app, create a new account to upload your messages. As noted above, Google will restore any purchases you have made automatically.
There are no other cases when your account gets deleted unless you do so manually. If this doesn't apply to you, then your password or email address is incorrect, and you can reset it with the steps above.
Why passwords cannot be recovered or reset when you cannot log in on the phone
For the protection of your texts and the security of your app, we use end-to-end encryption. Your password is part of this encryption.
Attempting to reset the password without the encryption key on your phone is not possible.
My purchase did not restore. What should I do?
Contact us through the app and provide us with the email receipt of your premium subscription/membership.
- Go to the Android app's navigation drawer/side menu.
- Tap Support > Email > Contact Us.
