What happens to inactive accounts?
To help protect your information and to help keep the Pulse SMS service running smoothly, any account that has been inactive for more than 2 months may be automatically removed, including Pulse SMS+ accounts. This helps us manage storage and maintain performance for active users, and makes sure we are not storing unnecessary data on your behalf.
I Have Pulse SMS+. Can my account be deleted for inactivity?
Yes. Any account, including accounts with Pulse SMS+ or one-time purchase access to the service, can be automatically removed after two months of inactivity.
If you purchased a one-time membership or have an active subscription, your purchase is linked to your Google account, not your Pulse SMS account. This means your premium access remains available when you sign in with your Google account on a new device or after creating a new Pulse SMS account.
How can I regain access to Pulse SMS+ if my account is removed?
If your account has been removed, you can simply create a new one using your existing email. Your premium features will be restored as long as you’re using the same Google account that holds the one-time or subscription purchase.
Note: Messages from a deleted account cannot be recovered, as Pulse SMS uses end-to-end encryption to protect your data.

Can I recover my messages if my account is removed?
Once a Pulse SMS account is deleted due to inactivity, cloud-stored messages are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered, even by our team. This is because Pulse SMS uses end-to-end encryption, and we cannot access or restore encrypted messages from deleted accounts.
However, if you were still using the app on your primary device before the account was deleted, your messages may still exist locally on that device. In that case, after creating a new Pulse SMS account and logging in on the same device, the app may detect and import those existing local messages.
- Cloud-stored messages = Deleted with the account, not recoverable.
- Device-stored messages = May still be available on your phone and can sync after creating a new account.

What if I forgot my password or email, and cannot log in to my account?
- Tip: Maintain your account and backup: log in at least once every 2 months.
- Tip: Pulse SMS is primarily a sync service between devices, which also offers backups for active users only. Pulse SMS is not a permanent storage solution for your messages.
This ensures your account remains active and your recent messages stay securely backed up.
