Managing Messages from Non-Contacts on Pulse SMS
Pulse SMS offers enhanced control over how messages from non-contacts are handled. This feature, accessible through Settings > Advanced Features on your Android device, also syncs with the web/desktop app and across all connected devices.
How to Access the Feature
- Open Settings in the Pulse SMS app.
- Navigate to Advanced Features.
- Select Receiving Messages from Non-Contacts.
User Options
You’ll have three options for managing messages from non-contacts:
- Receive Messages Normally
Choose this to receive and display messages from non-contacts as usual. - Mute the Conversation to Prevent Notifications
This option will silence notifications for messages from non-contacts while still allowing them to appear in your conversation list. - Immediately Discard the Message as Spam
Select this to automatically discard messages from non-contacts as spam. Note: Be cautious with this option, as all non-contact messages will be discarded until you manually change this setting back.
These preferences will sync across all your devices, so once you set it on your primary Android device, it will apply on the web/desktop app and any other linked devices. This feature provides flexibility and control, ensuring you only receive the messages that matter most.
