One of Pulse SMS' advanced features is Auto Reply Configuration. Here, you can set up automated replies based on certain situations. This feature is available on both the Android app and desktop/web app, in Settings > Advanced Features/Settings. The auto replies you create are now synced across your devices.
On the Android app
The available options are as follows:
- Driving Mode: Turn this on and set up a response to automatically reply to all messages you receive. On Android 7.0 and above, Pulse SMS includes a quick settings tile in your phone's status bar menu to toggle this feature.
- Vacation Mode: Turn this on and set up a response to automatically reply to all messages you receive.
- Contact-based auto replies: Create a new contact-based auto reply by tapping Create a New Auto Reply at the bottom of the page and selecting Contact. This reply is automatically sent whenever the specified contact sends a message.
- Keyword-based auto replies: Create a keyword-based auto reply by tapping Create a New Auto Reply at the bottom of the page and selecting Keyword. Whenever a message contains the keyword you specified, this auto reply will be sent. Keywords are case-insensitive.
You can edit your auto replies by tapping on them. For contact and keyword-based replies, you can also delete them or use the toggle to enable or disable them.
On the Web/Desktop app
After clicking the + button on the bottom right, you will see these options:
- Contact: Create contact-based auto replies using this option.
- Keyword: Create keyword-based auto replies using this option.
Only one type of auto reply will get sent at a time. For instance, if Driving Mode is enabled on Android, it overrides other replies. If Driving Mode is off and Vacation Mode is on, only the Vacation Mode reply will send, preventing other replies.
When an auto reply is sent, it will appear in your conversation thread, alongside any other messages you’ve sent.
